  1. If I were a young Jew and just saw that Temple I would be amazed at how big and beautiful it was. I would think I was unworthy of being in its presence,it would've been just that magnificent. I would honestly be overwhelmed with joy as I loooked at the Tepmle's beauty.

  2. I think that if I was a young Jew seeing the Temple for the first time I would probably feel great pride knowing that this awe inspiring building belongs to a religion that I'm a part of. Also, the fact that it is elevated and set apart from the whole city (at least it seems so from the video)would astonish anyone, even if they weren't a Jew. To be honest, I don't blame Jesus for wanting to stay in the Temple (in the story where Mary loses Jesus in Jerusalem.)

  4. I am going to relate this to a catholic point of view. I think it would be like walking into St. Patricks Cathedral or Notre Dame. I would be astonished by the architectural beauty and the time it must have taken to make this wonder. I would feel at home with God in his amazing "house."

  5. I would be absolutely speechless at how beautiful and large the Temple is. I would feel excited yet unworthy to be a part of something this religious, and good point Steven, I probably would have stayed also.

  6. I would feel unworthy to be within the temple because it seems like they took great pride in it and as a "minor" i wouldn't feel as though I belong within and it also it seemed like that may have spent many year building the temple and it came out beautiful because of the various sections and structures and how massive it is.

  7. If I were a young Jew visiting the Temple for the first time I would feel overwhelmed by its enormous size and beauty. I would probably get lost and easily tired because of how spacious it is! I would think to myself of how lucky I was to experience such an amazing place.

  8. I think Steven's point of feeling pride that this Temple belongs to my religion has to be what many young people felt. The people looked like ants compared to its size... I think I would be in total awe and feel very close to God.
The tallest structure inside the Temple is called "The Holy of Holies" reserved for God's throne on earth. It was Gold-plated with real gold and the sun exploded off it in a magnificent way!

  9. I agree with Justin. Also, If i were a young Jew visiting the Temple for the very first time, I wouldn't know where to look, because of its beauty and size. I would feel a sense of belonging, because I know that God was there with me.

  11. If I were a young Jew I would be filled with immense amazement of how big and wonderful this temple is. I would be feeling a great magnitude of different emotions at one time and really would be in disbelief of how big it is compared to a small village.

  12. I agree with what everyone said.If I were a young Jew I would feel amazing because of the acrchitecture and the design of the Temple. While the Greeks and Romans thought they were umimportant and not very impressive, the Temple is one thing the the Jews could be proud of. It would make myself/young Jew very appreciative and proud of his faith.

  14. I think that if I were a young Jew during this time I would have been very proud that this huge temple was in my city. However, I would have also felt a little disappointed because like Asia said, I wouldn't feel worthy to be in the temple.

  17. Thank you Bianca =] and Bianca's point on how God's presence is with them is just an excellent way to explain the meaning of the Temple. I bet the Jews felt very proud to be in there.

  18. I'd be amazed at how that was even built; I've definitely been underestimating architecture during Jesus' time. I never would've thought the temple would've looked the way it did.

  19. Seeing the temple would definately astonich me if I was a young Jew. Most of Isreal and Judeah is so small and boring compared to the temple which was so vast and huge. Having a place like that would make me feel safe like God was sheltering me whenever I was in there.

  21. If I was a young Jew and I was seeing the temple for the first time, I would probably be, without a doubt, astonished and in total amazement. Because to the Jews, this was their sacred place, a place to call their own and to worship God. I would be very honored and privileged to call myself a Jew.
